OnePlus has announced a new flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 13. The device has made its debut in China, but will be available on the global market later.
OnePlus has decided to abandon curved displays and moved to a 2.5D structure. The OnePlus 13 screen looks flat, but it has subtle curves on all sides. As a result, the OnePlus 13 is slightly shorter than its predecessor, but still measures 6.82 inches. This is the flagship BOE 8T LTPO OLED panel with a resolution of 1440p and a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz. The peak brightness of the screen reaches 4500 nits. The device comes with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
The new device also features the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a 6000 mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for wired and wireless charging with a capacity of 100 W and 50 W, respectively.
The device also boasts an updated vibration motor. OnePlus claims that this is the largest vibration motor ever installed in an Android smartphone with a volume of 602 mm³. The manufacturer also claims that the smartphone has “game controller-level feedback”.
On the back of OnePlus 13 are three 50-megapixel Hasselblad cameras. The main Sony LYT-808 with a focal length of 23 mm and OIS. It is complemented by a 3x periscope (LYT-600) with a focal length of 73 mm equivalent. The third camera is the Samsung S5KJN5 ultra-wide-angle camera with a 15 mm equivalent and macro function. The front camera of the smartphone is 32-megapixel.
OnePlus 13 is IP69 rated. It exceeds the IP68 rating by supporting protection against high-pressure liquids and steam cleaning.
The flagship comes with ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. The global version of the device will receive the OxygenOS 15 interface.
OnePlus 13 is already available in China. The device costs from $635 to $845. The price depends on the memory modification.
