Microsoft’s gaming revenues continue to grow, even though console sales are falling. This became known thanks to the published reports for the first fiscal quarter of 2025. This is reported by The Verge.

The company says that its revenues from Xbox content and services grew by 61% year-on-year compared to the previous quarter. This performance was driven by Activision’s acquisition of Blizzard, the company explains.

At the same time, revenues from consoles decreased by 29%. This may affect the company’s future strategy to make its games more accessible not only for Xbox consoles.

It is important to note that Q1 2025 does not take into account the impact of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which was released on Game Pass last week. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that this game was the “biggest Call of Duty release ever”.
