The President of the terrorist state Vladimir Putin personally asked Elon Musk not to turn on the Starlink satellite Internet service over Taiwan. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Despite Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Musk regularly communicated with Putin. This is confirmed by a number of American, European, and Russian officials. Their conversations covered personal topics, business, and geopolitical tensions. At one point, Putin asked the billionaire to avoid activating his Starlink satellite Internet service over Taiwan to do a “favor” for Chinese leader Xi Jinping, according to anonymous sources.

Starlink has never been authorized to provide Internet services in Taiwan. The Government of the Republic of China imposes restrictions on non-Taiwanese satellite operators.

Musk’s response to Putin’s request is unknown, but Taiwan is now marked as “coming soon” on the Starlink service map.
