As it turned out, in addition to the battery problem, iPhone 16 users are complaining about another unpleasant bug, according to MacRumors.
According to complaints on Reddit, MacRumors, and Apple's support communities, some iPhone 16 Pro models have a bug that causes random reboots. Affected users are seeing their iPhones unexpectedly freeze and then reboot.
This issue has been reported since the announcement of the iPhone 16 models in September 2024 and continues to this day. Unfortunately, the iOS 18.0.1 and iOS 18.1 Beta updates do not fix the situation.
The problem appears randomly. The display stops responding or responds very slowly to the touch, and then the iPhone does a quick reboot. There have also been reports of the iPhone restarting unexpectedly in standby mode.
Some users who contacted Apple shortly after the new iPhones went on sale were able to get new devices, but the problem recurred. Almost all complaints relate to the iPhone 16 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro Max.
For most people, this problem is sporadic, but some users have experienced 10 to 20 crashes per day. Unfortunately, there is no exact cause of the bug yet. It is also unknown when Apple plans to fix it.
