Bloomberg shared some details about Tesla's robotaxi.
According to the leak, the new product may be called Cybercab. The car will have two front seats and doors that open upwards (like a gullwing). Tesla's Robotaxi is likely to use a combination of cameras and computing power to navigate the roads. Although Cruise and Waymo self-driving cars also rely on laser sensors, Musk has dismissed them as too expensive and unnecessary. It is not yet known when Tesla's robot taxi will appear on the market.
There is a possibility that Tesla will also introduce another new car. Some investors believe that it will be a robot that can carry a dozen people or be used as an autonomous delivery vehicle.
By the way, Bloomberg also reports that Tesla CEO Elon Musk plans to announce the Full Self-Driving feature for the Semi electric truck. A similar technology is already available in other electric vehicles of the company.
As a reminder, Tesla's presentation of We, Robot will take place on October 10, 2024, in Los Angeles.
