After months of various rumors, Rockstar Games has finally officially announced the PC release of the classic western Red Dead Redemption along with the zombie expansion pack Undead Nightmare. The game will be released on PC on Steam, Epic Games Store, and Rockstar Store on October 29, 2024.

The game was ported by the British studio Double Eleven. On PC, the game will have native support for 4K resolution with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, support for Ultrawide (21:9) and Super UltraWide (32:9) monitors, HDR10, and full keyboard and mouse functionality.

In addition, Red Dead Redemption will feature support for NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 image enhancement technologies, as well as NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation, adjustable drawing distances, shadow quality settings, and other graphics settings.

Red Dead Redemption was first released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in 2010 as a spiritual successor to 2004’s Red Dead Revolver. In addition, in 2023, the game received a release on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, but the release on PC was delayed until the last minute. In 2018, the game also received an incredibly successful sequel, which also appeared on PC a year later.

What is also interesting is that on the game’s official Steam page, the system requirements for the first part are higher than for the second.
