Spotify users with a Premium subscription can download as much music as they want to their smartphones, but they don’t always do it. In order not to be left without audio when the Internet suddenly goes down, the company is launching the Offline Backup feature, which will automatically save tracks for offline listening.
Offline Backup will take into account your queue of upcoming songs and recently listened to tracks and create one easily accessible playlist. It will be unique for each user. It will also contain tracks that have already been cached on the smartphone due to regular listening.
The playlist created in Spotify can be sorted by different artists, song moods, and genres. The playlist will also grow as users listen to more music.
Spotify will begin rolling out Offline Backup to iOS and Android users this week. The new feature will also be available on Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It is not yet known whether it will be available in Ukraine immediately. However, for the feature to work accurately, you need to enable “Offline access” in the traffic saving settings.
