Big changes may be coming to Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S line of smartphones, according to Chinese insider @UniverseIce.
The Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra will be released in January 2025, as usual. However, in 2026, the Korean company may make major changes to its lineup by discontinuing the Galaxy S26.

Samsung has already done something similar with its flagship line of tablets. This year, only the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra were released, but the base model disappeared.
Thus, only the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra will appear. According to the insider, this step will allegedly take place because the base model will no longer be competitive in the market.
According to @UniverseIce,Chinese brands are preparing to release compact devices with top specs in the next few months, and the Galaxy S25 may barely survive it. As for the Galaxy S26, this could be the end of the game for it.
