Sony’s in-house studio, Guerrilla Games, is working on the cooperative game Horizon Online. Work on the third main part is also underway, but it is not a priority, so we will not receive news about it in the near future. This was reported by Wccftech, referring to Jason Schreier.

According to Schreier, the company is not sure that players have a demand for the multiplayer part of Horizon. That’s why the company decided to fuel interest in the series with a spin-off and remaster.

Guerrilla Games is currently working with Studio Gobo on LEGO Horizon Adventures. The plot of the LEGO game will retell the story of Horizon Zero Dawn, but in a more youth-oriented way.

The studio will also release the recently announced remaster of Horizon Zero Dawn for PlayStation 5 and PC. The game should be released on October 31 this year.

It is reported that the development of Horizon 3 is not a priority for Sony at the moment due to the previously announced development in the direction of live-service games. Horizon Online is one of the few PlayStation Studios projects that hasn’t been canceled, as happened with The Last of Us, and has a chance not to fail, as happened with Concord.

It will be an unusual style for Guerrilla Games not only because of the co-op. The studio has already confirmed that it will have a new cast of characters and a slightly different, “stylized” visual style.
