Blizzard is once again working on a shooter in the StarCraft series. This time, the development is led by Dan Hay, who has been working on the Far Cry series since the third installment. PC Gamer writes about it with reference to Jason Schreyer.

This will be Blizzard’s third attempt to create a shooter in the StarCraft universe. The first game was supposed to be called StarCraft Ghost, but its development was canceled in 2014. The second attempt, called StarCraft Ares, was in 2019.

Jason Schreier is currently writing a new book about Blizzard’s corporate culture called “Play Nice: The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard Entertainment” and shared some of the information contained in the book.

It is noted that after the cancellation of the development of the mysterious Survival game, the studio fired most of the developers who worked on the game. But some staff was transferred under the leadership of Dan Hay to work on a new shooter.
