Ukrainian non-profit educational institution SET University and American startup Hilltop Technologies have officially launched a new cybersecurity startup SET Cyber Labs. This was reported by SET University.

The startup provides customized solutions for academic institutions, businesses, and NGOs 24/7. It has opened an office in Kyiv and will soon join Diia.City.

“This is the first startup to enter Ukraine through Diia.City in 2024, and the first American tech startup to open R&D in Ukraine in cooperation with a university since the beginning of the war,” SET University said.

The mission of the startup is to provide cybersecurity expertise to the most vulnerable organizations that do not have internal resources to ensure cybersecurity: higher education institutions, small and medium-sized businesses, and public organizations.

According to the institution, SET Cyber Labs is developing the Volt cybersecurity platform, created in the format of software as a service (SaaS). The platform offers a wide range of services, including round-the-clock threat monitoring and response, endpoint protection and detection, advanced cloud and network security, and artificial intelligence-based phishing attack analysis.

“In addition, Volt has an integrated virtual chief information security officer (vCISO) service that provides organizations with expert advice on cybersecurity,” SET University added.

However, SET Cyber Labs does not only provide cybersecurity services. A portion of the profits from SET Cyber Labs will be used for student scholarships in cybersecurity at SET University programs and the development of technology education in Ukraine.
