Osavul, a media analytics company that uses artificial intelligence, has raised $3 million in a late seed round from three European investment funds.
The team has developed a platform for detecting narrative attacks and finding insights in the media landscape. It helps identify online threats to the public sector, security organizations, and businesses. With the new investment, the team will be able to offer information security technologies to protect brand reputation.
The investment was provided by 3 European funds 42CAP, u.ventures and SMRK. This is the second round of investment and one of the largest investments in Europe in the field of information security.
The company was founded in February 2022 in response to the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. For more than two years of operation, the company has gained a solid reputation in the market: it was awarded the title of Honorary Ambassador of Ukraine in the field of digital diplomacy by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Recently, Osavul participated in a study of information warfare directed against NATO. The team identified a network of coordinated groups that pose a significant threat, enhanced by the use of AI-generated content.
Osavul plans to use the investment to scale its operations on a global scale, entering new markets (in particular, the US and the EU), offering new opportunities to the B2B segment, and directing resources to improve AI algorithms.
