Adobe’s artificial intelligence-based tool Firefly will get a new feature – creating videos based on text queries. The new feature is called Firefly Video Model and will be available in beta later in 2024.

According to Reuters, the Firefly Video Model will be able to create short clips lasting 5 seconds. Adobe’s official website states that the function can be used to fill in gaps in the video, as well as completely separate clips.

The new feature will also be able to create effects for already finished videos, such as smoke or fire. You can also use the feature to add effects to images.

At the same time, the company introduced the Generative Extend feature for Premier Pro based on the Firefly Video Model, which will allow you to expand footage and make it longer.

In a comment to Reuters, the company said that the new feature was trained on publicly available or licensed content that it has permission to use. The work of users of Adobe programs was not used for training.

Earlier, Adobe also introduced the ability to create images based on text queries using artificial intelligence in Photoshop.
