The new operating system for computers macOS Sequoia will be released on September 16. Apple announced this at its Hour of Shine event. This was reported by TechCrunch.

The new OS for Mac computers will focus on Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence features. Also, one of the most anticipated features is iPhone Mirroring, which will allow you to work with applications on your iPhone from a computer.

With macOS Sequoia, users can expect better natural language understanding from Siri, intelligent summarization in Notes, and contextual suggestions across apps.

Sequoia also brings significant improvements to Safari. The new Highlights feature promises to make it easier to find information, and the updated Reader mode aims to make long-term content consumption more convenient.

However, the Apple Intelligence features will be introduced gradually. The beta version of the service will be available in October this year, but only to English-speaking users. Some Apple Intelligence features and additional supported languages will be added to the system in 2025.

Apple also claims that Sequoia has expanded support for Mac games. For example, the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Shadows from Ubisoft will be released on Mac running Sequoia. The system will also feature software enhancements such as Metal 3 and MetalFX Upscaling, which will improve the performance of already released games on Macs.

MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac mini, and Mac Studio based on Apple Silicon M1 and later will support AI functions.
