Acer has unveiled a gaming laptop concept with a built-in PREDATOR Project DualPlay gamepad.
The flat gamepad is stored in the laptop case under the keyboard, face inward. The rear surface of the gamepad has a touchpad and functions as a touchpad when the controller is placed in the laptop.
The gamepad itself is very similar to the Joy-Con controllers for the Nintendo Switch. The gamepad consists of three parts: two halves and a grip that connects them. These two halves can become separate controllers when separated. So PREDATOR Project DualPlay owners will always be ready for a couple of rounds of Mortal Kombat with their friends.
But it’s worth noting that the controllers of the same Nintendo Switch have a D-Pad, which consists of four separate buttons that perform the functions of X, Y, A, B in the steamed mode. However, the Project DualPlay gamepad has a solid crossbar, which will not be very convenient in this scenario.
The PREDATOR Project DualPlay is just a concept, so don’t expect the laptop to be released on the market soon.
