Harebrained Schemes, the studio that parted ways with Paradox Interactive after the release of the unsuccessful The Lamplighters League, teases its new project, the cyberpunk horror-RPG GRAFT, which has a page on Steam.
GRAFT is the story of a once flourishing continent-sized arcology inhabited by biomechanically enhanced humans. But now the once majestic city is engulfed in darkness and slowly dying. Energy and light are the most valuable resources in this place. And yet… it is not empty at all, there is something in the darkness.
GRAFT is a dark post-cyberpunk action/RPG set in a dangerous world where you’ll have to rip out parts of your enemies to survive and use them to modify your own body.
The developers promise a rich and complex combat system; a constant shortage of resources necessary for survival; a rich arsenal; a system of biomechanical modifications; the impact of your actions on the plot development, etc. The first teaser of the game is available on Steam.
Harebrained Schemes has both successful games like Crimson in its portfolio: Steam Pirates, the Shadowrun trilogy (Returns, Dragonfall, Hong Kong), and the BattleTech strategy, as well as not very successful commercially Golem Arcana, Necropolis, and The Lamplighters League. Still, a lot can be forgiven for the studio’s Shadowrun alone, so stay tuned and add GRAFT to your Wish List.
