Deadlock, Valve’s new multiplayer team-based game that combines shooter and MOBA genres, has crossed the 170 thousand simultaneous players mark without an official release.

The game is still in the early stages of development. Only testers who received an invitation directly from Valve and their invited friends have access to the game. It seems to be a limited circle of people, but there are much more players than expected.

Despite all the restrictions and the lack of an official release, Deadlock’s peak online is growing every day. According to SteamDB, on August 29, 2024, the game crossed the 100 thousand simultaneous players mark, and as of September 2, the peak online reached 171,490 people.

Among other things, the game, like all other Valve projects, has a textual Ukrainian localization, but the translation, like many other elements, is not yet fully completed. As for when the official release will take place, the company has not yet announced anything.
