According to Bloomberg, Samsung is looking to acquire Nokia’s mobile infrastructure business.

Nokia and the Korean company are negotiating the sale of the mobile network business group. If this happens, Samsung will become a major player in the global network infrastructure market.

Over the past few years, Nokia has been struggling to compete with big players like Ericsson and Huawei. Therefore, the company discussed with its advisors all possible options, including the sale of part or all of the division or a merger with one of its competitors.

Although Nokia has not yet made a decision, it is known that its telecommunications equipment business is worth $10 billion.

By the way, Samsung Electronics has expressed interest in acquiring to improve its radio access network (RAN) segment. RAN helps connect smartphones to the rest of the telecommunications infrastructure.
