The upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card may require less power than the 4060, according to the head of the PC, mini-PC and laptop assembly company Shenzen Hasee Computer Co. This was reported by TechRadar.

According to Wu Haijun, the RTX 5060 will require 115 watts of power compared to the 140 watts required by the RTX 4060. He also stated that the 5060 will use GDDR7 memory.

The next generation of cards will be codenamed GN22-X. Each model will be assigned a separate number after X. It is known that the GN22-X11 and X9 will operate at 175 watts of total graphics power (TGP). However, the X7, X6, X4, and X2 models will be limited to 115W. It seems that the X7 is a new model that has no analog in previous generations.

However, there may be a downside to this low power consumption. According to the leaks, the RTX 5090 will be able to offer 16GB of VRAM, while the RTX 5060 will only have 8GB of VRAM. In addition, the 5060 will likely remain limited to a 128-bit memory bus, which corresponds to a smaller amount of VRAM.

NVIDIA is expected to use the GB203, GB205, GB206, and GB207 GPUs for its mobile RTX 50 series. The GB202 with a 512-bit memory bus is also under development.
