GSC Game World has presented a new trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl at Gamescom 2024, revealing new details of the world in the sequel to the legendary series.
In the trailer, players are immediately shown the return of the iconic character, the protagonist of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky – Scar. In a conversation with him, new interesting details about the world are revealed, including the fact that the anomalies have moved beyond the Zone.
Later on in the trailer, Scar also talks about how the Zone actually has two sides – the dark one, the one that the player sees all the time, but there is another, the light side, which cannot be seen.
“This is the dark side of the zone, but is another, the shiny side. It’s here all around us, but we cannot see it. I wonder what’s out there? Eternal spring, the clondike of artefacts, a new home or our heart’s desires? We want the shine zone to reveal itself,” says Shram.
Earlier, GSC Game World held a separate presentation of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, during which they revealed a lot of new details about the upcoming game.
In addition, at Gamescom 2024, gaming journalists and bloggers were able to play the demo and were satisfied, and John Linneman from Digital Foundry, known for his tests of the technical condition of games, says that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is doing well in terms of both optimization and visuals, and that the game will run at 60 fps on Xbox Series X.
Played Stalker 2 on an actual Xbox Series X – it’s shaping up very well technically! I’m impressed. Surprisingly great image quality too.
