The Raspberry Pi 5 line of single-board computers has received a new version.

At launch, the Raspberry Pi 5 was available in two versions. One of them had 4 GB of RAM, and the other had 8 GB. Now the company has released a third configuration with 2 GB of RAM.

Raspberry Pi 5 received a new version with 2 GB of RAM and a price of $50

Compared to the 4GB and 8GB versions, the new single-board computer has a Broadcom BCM2712D0 chip. This is an optimized version of the BCM2712C1.

As the base model of the line, it has the most affordable price of $50. By the way, the 4GB version costs $60, and the 8GB version costs $80.

Whether you should buy the basic model of the line depends on your needs. For example, for game emulation, a larger amount of RAM will give much better performance.
