The current-generation KIA Sportage crossover has been present in Ukraine for several years now, and it’s been produced for even longer – it’s time for an update. CARSCOOPS magazine tells you what this update might look like.

The first and foremost feature of the updated KIA Sportage will be a radically changed front end. This means vertical block headlights, which first appeared on KIA electric vehicles and then spread to other models. In addition, the grille between the headlights and the front bumper will change. All of this is already clearly visible on the camouflaged KIA Sportage test vehicles, as well as the new “parametric” wheels. See for yourself: as it is now – as it can be.

The second noticeable change will be the interior. Thus, two widescreen displays are expected to appear in the KIA Sportage, as has become customary for new KIA and Hyundai models. However, no technical changes are expected: engines and gearboxes, front or all-wheel drive – all this should remain unchanged for the KIA Sportage.

The updated KIA Sportage will be presented by the end of this year. That is, sales should begin in late 2024 or early 2025, depending on the market. Well, there is still time to update the KIA Sportage with exactly what Ukrainians need: to add the most affordable version with a conventional 1.6-liter gasoline engine to the lineup. Do you agree?
