Samsung has announced a new budget smartphone of the Galaxy A series.
The model is called Galaxy A06 and is the successor to Galaxy A05. The new model has the same MediaTek Helio G85 chip as the A05, a 50 MP main camera, and is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
Like the 2023 model, the new phone is equipped with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of storage.
Samsung says the Galaxy A06 comes with the latest version of Android 14 OS. Other specs include a fingerprint scanner on the side and a 6.7-inch HD+ IPS panel. However, Samsung says it now supports a 90Hz display refresh rate instead of the A05’s 60Hz.
As for the price, the new device will cost $127 for the 4/64 GB model and $150 for the 6/128 GB model. The smartphone will go on sale on August 22, 2024, but only in Vietnam. Later, Galaxy A06 will be released in other countries, including Ukraine.
