Analytical company Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) has published a report in which it shared sales statistics of different Apple Watch models.
The Apple Watch Series 9, which debuted in September 2023 alongside the iPhone 15, is the company’s most popular smartwatch model as of June 2024. It accounts for 43% of total Apple Watch sales in the United States.
This was followed by the Series 8, which Apple no longer sells, but can still be found in various retailers, with a share of 19%. Together, these two models accounted for nearly two-thirds of all Apple Watch sales during the period.
Apple Watch Ultra and Ultra 2, which represent the premium segment, accounted for 20% of total sales. The CIRP report indicates that in June 2024, the share of Ultra 2 was slightly higher than that of the original Ultra model.
The Apple Watch SE accounted for 12% of the market. This model continues to attract buyers looking for a more affordable version, but its market presence is much smaller than that of higher-end models.
The Nike-branded version of the Apple Watch, which is a special edition of the Series 8 and Series 9, took only 5% of the market.
