Have you heard of the KG Mobility brand, or KGM for short? This is the successor to the once famous Korean company SsangYong, which is trying to continue its development with new strength and new models. Like the new generation KGM Actyon crossover.

The name Actyon once stood for a frame SUV with a harsh all-wheel drive system and a bullet-shaped body silhouette, but today it is just another crossover. Moreover, it is built on the basis of the existing Torres model: for example, the overall body shape and 2.68-meter wheelbase remain unchanged. However, the new KGM Actyon has new headlights and large 20-inch wheels. And the modified bumpers increased the length of the car by 40 mm – up to 4.74 meters.

The technical component of the KGM Actyon is also similar to the Torres model: only a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 170 “horses” and a 6-speed automatic transmission, no other engine or transmission options are provided. Thankfully, at least you can choose the type of drive: front or all-wheel drive. Although there is no longer any question of a complex all-wheel drive with a downshift, because the new KGM Actyon is a typical crossover.

This is noticeable in the cabin, where the main attractions are a pair of large 12.3-inch displays and a designer “island” in the center tunnel, rather than transmission levers and differential lock buttons. In addition, the KGM Actyon crossover offers a new hexagonal steering wheel for the first time for the company – it looks original!

Sales of the KGM Actyon in its native South Korea will start soon, and preliminary prices are already known – from $25 thousand, which is about $4 thousand more than the asking price for the Torres model on the Korean market. Given the recent launch of KG Mobility (or, if you prefer, the relaunch of SsangYoug) in Ukraine, we can also expect the KGM Actyon to appear in our country.
