American cars are hardly represented in Ukraine through authorized dealers, but this does not prevent them from entering our market – it just usually happens in the form of “bits and pieces.” Here is another candidate for possible popularity: the new generation GMC Terrain crossover.
The manufacturer immediately states that the designers tried to create the new GMC Terrain in the likeness of large GMC SUVs and pickups – and they succeeded: a massive grille, vertically grouped headlamps, large wheel arches over 17-inch tires. Currently, the GMC Terrain debuts in the Elevation version, but an AT4 version (improved off-road performance) and a Denali version (more luxurious trim and 19- or even 20-inch wheels) are promised for the future.
Although technically, all versions of the new GMC Terrain will be similar: a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine (175 hp and 275 Nm), a traditional 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The only differences are that the GMC Terrain AT4 version will get a specific off-road mode and increased ground clearance, and the GMC Terrain Denali variant will boast more comfortable shock absorbers.
The interior of the GMC Terrain features a combination of two displays: 11-inch for the driver and a portrait-oriented 15-inch common display. Several physical buttons and a pocket for small items are located directly below the central display, and a wireless phone charging station is provided in the center armrest area.
Sales of the GMC Terrain in Elevation trim should start soon, with AT4 and Denali versions available for purchase from the beginning of next year. And now, attention, the question – when should we expect the first GMC Terrain in Ukraine, do you think?
