Opera has introduced an updated browser for iOS with a focus on artificial intelligence, improved search, and the ability to choose a navigation style. It is already available for download or update in the App Store.
The company moved the browser navigation down for greater convenience and added three styles – standard, search, and with a button for quick actions. Users will be able to choose the style they like best in the settings.
The search function has also been redesigned to make browsing easier and faster. When a user starts typing a search query, new search suggestions will offer word completions or the best matching next word. You can also access the search by simply swiping down.
The color of the top and bottom feeds in Opera will now match the accented color of the webpage the user is viewing. The update also replaces the old news feed with a new carousel where you can find news, live sports scores, and various product offers.
As with many products now, the main focus of the browser after the update is artificial intelligence. It has an Aria chatbot that can provide search results and help users with various queries.
Among other things, the chatbot has also received new features, such as voice input and the ability to generate images based on text prompts thanks to Google’s Imagen2 model. Opera also retains all of its previous features, such as a built-in VPN service and an ad-blocking tool.
