The German pharmacy chain Rossmann, which has more than 62,000 employees and 4,700 branches, has announced that it will refuse to buy any more Tesla cars because Elon Musk supports Donald Trump.

To justify his decision, Rossmann cites Elon Musk’s 2018 post on X (then Twitter), where he wrote that “Tesla exists to help reduce the risks of catastrophic climate change, which affects all species on Earth…”.

Despite such statements, the billionaire publicly expresses his support for US presidential candidate Donald Trump, who calls climate change a hoax.

“Elon Musk has made no secret of his support for Donald Trump. Trump has repeatedly called climate change a hoax – a position that stands in stark contrast to Tesla’s mission to help protect the environment by producing electric vehicles,” said Raul Rossmann, CEO of Rossmann.

According to Bloomberg, Rossmann owns a fleet of 800 vehicles, including 34 Tesla cars. The company buys about 180 new cars a year, and although the company will continue to use its existing cars, it will refuse to buy new ones.

Among other things, Musk recently proved his support for Donald Trump by posting a fake video with Kamala Harris, another US presidential candidate. He also confirmed that he had donated to Trump’s campaign.
