Game Science has presented a new trailer for Black Myth: Wukong, a role-playing action game based on Chinese mythology, which demonstrates a colorful world, various enemies, as well as new scenes with the gameplay and story cutscenes.
Black Myth: Wukong has become the most anticipated game of 2024 by the number of additions to Steam's wishlist, and by a wide margin. The closest competitor is Hollow Knight: Silksong, which was added to the wishlist 296 thousand times, while the new Game Science game was added 582 thousand times.
The game is based on Journey to the West, one of the four classic novels of Chinese literature. After becoming the Chosen One, players will embark on an adventure filled with trials and tribulations, in which they will have to open the veil of secrecy over the great legend.
The fairy-tale world of Wukong is full of references to ancient Chinese mythology, many dangerous enemies, a variety of spells, transformations, and enchanted weapons and equipment.
The game will be released on PC and PlayStation 5 on August 20, and Xbox Series X|S will also be available later - the exact date is still unknown.
