From July 24 to July 25, 2024, a new problem appeared in Chrome, which for 18 hours prevented browser users from accessing their own saved passwords. This was reported by Windows Central.
The problem reportedly occurred in the M127 version of the browser and only for Windows users. They could not use passwords previously saved in Chrome, and new passwords were completely invisible.
During this outage, there was one workaround to solve the problem, but it required launching the browser via the command line, which not everyone knew about.
The problem was fixed on July 25, after which users were only required to restart the browser to restore stable operation. Google also apologized for any inconvenience caused.
