The Chevrolet Corvette line of American supercars continues to evolve rapidly. A new version of the ZR1 has just appeared, which was usually the top of the line for Corvette and offered a combination of the most power with a carefully refined chassis and aerodynamics. So, let’s meet the new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1!

Even a regular Chevrolet Corvette of the current C8 generation looks like a real supercar today, and the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 modification demonstrates an even more attractive and sporty design: numerous air intakes and carbon parts, split double glass of the engine compartment lid, air exhaust channels, and a modified front bumper.

The optional ZTK package means a huge wing at the rear and a spoiler at the front – with these, the additional aerodynamic downforce can reach 544 kg at top speed. How much is that, by the way?

The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 supercar is powered by a 5.5-liter LT7 V8 engine with twin turbos, which develops 1064 hp and 1121 Nm of torque and is mated to an 8-speed robotic transmission. The acceleration time to the “hundred” has not been named, but the top speed has already been determined – over 215 mph or 346 km/h.

And here the most interesting thing is the “over” clause: for example, the Ferrari Enzo supercar reached 350 km/h with a much less powerful engine, and the 1001-horsepower Bugatti Veyron hypercar even broke the 400 km/h mark. It seems that the new turbo-V8 can provide the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 supercar with truly extraordinary speed – much faster than currently promised.

Other components and elements of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 have also been carefully refined to match the increased power and dynamics. For example, the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 supercar has new 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch rear wheels, which hide larger carbon-ceramic brakes with a diameter of 400 mm in front and 390 mm in the rear. The new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 comes with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S sports tires, while ordering the ZTK package means additionally reconfiguring the suspension to Michelin Pilot Sport CUP 2 R semi-slick tires.

It seems that only the interior has not changed. However, everything was fine inside from the start: a combination of sports bucket seats with leather trim, carbon fiber elements on the steering wheel and center console, a digital cockpit display, and more.

Sales of the new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will start just in time for the beginning of 2025, the price will be announced later. Given the cost of regular versions of the Chevrolet Corvette at $100-110 thousand, we can expect the price of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 to be around $150-200 thousand. However, even this price looks like a real gift given the power and speed that this car can offer – European rivals will be many times more expensive. This is the American dream of a supercar!
