CMF, a sub-brand of Nothing that focuses on budget devices, has unveiled its first smartphone, the CMF Phone 1. And in the style of all its other devices, it is quite affordable, costing $199.
The smartphone has a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 × 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The peak brightness of the smartphone reaches 2000 nits, and the typical brightness is 700 nits.
At the back, as previously reported, the smartphone has a removable cover, as well as a 50-megapixel camera with an equivalent f/1.8 aperture and a 79º viewing angle and a special portrait sensor. CMF Phone 1 has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone supports video recording in 4K resolution at 30 frames per second, or 1080p at 30 or 60 fps.
Inside, the smartphone is equipped with an 8-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G processor developed on TSMC’s 4-nanometer process. CMF Phone 1 will also be available with 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage, expandable up to 2 TB via a memory card.
The device is also equipped with a 5000 mAh battery that supports 33W charging and 5W reverse wired charging. The smartphone does not support wireless charging.
Everything will run on the Nothing OS 2.6 operating system based on Android 14. CMF promises two years of major Android updates and three years of security updates.
