It would seem that NFT is a thing of the past, but not for Ubisoft. The company, in partnership with Double Jump.Tokyo, will “accelerate” the global adoption of web3 games using the new Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles platform to distribute NFTs. This was reported by Insider Gaming.

Now the company has announced that web3 mechanics will be integrated into Champions Tactics, a new tactical PvP RPG. This will not be the first collaboration for Double Jump.Tokyo.

“We are thrilled to explore the potential of web3 and digital ownership in gaming alongside Ubisoft. Partnering with a renowned global industry leader like Ubisoft empowers us to continue our unwavering pursuit of delivering exceptional games to communities while accelerating the worldwide adoption of web3 gaming technology,” said Double Jump.Tokyo CEO Hironobu Ueno.

In 2021, the company was already working with NFTs when it introduced Quartz, a full-fledged NFT-based platform that quickly lost all relevance. After that, there was another attempt with Immutable to implement NFT, but it didn’t work either.
