Microsoft Excel is getting a long-awaited web version design update. The program now looks more modern. This was reported by TechRadar.
The update makes Microsoft Excel sheets, columns, and rows slightly larger and transitions between them smoother, bringing the software in line with the more rounded look of the rest of the Microsoft 365 platform.
The colors used in the data fields also look brighter, and the program interface itself is vice versa.
The update also brings a number of new settings and tools. Among them is a new option to quickly resize rows and columns by simply hovering the mouse pointer over the border.
There is also a new simplified interface for adding rows and columns to a spreadsheet: When hovering over a heading, users will now see small circles that can be used to quickly add or remove unnecessary fields. We’ve also added a simplified method for rearranging parts of a spreadsheet using the drag-and-drop feature, which makes it easy to move entire rows and columns.
The new features are already available to all users of the web version of Microsoft Excel.
