The Indie Cup team has announced 49 nominees of the Indie Cup Europe’24 festival who have made it to the next round and will compete in 8 categories.

In general, Indie Cup Europe’24 is the most powerful of the festivals held by Indie Cup – 450 games from developers from 40 different European countries took part in it! Some of them were debut projects, while others were submitted by experienced studios that already have successful games in their portfolio.

The jury’s favorite was the game ODDADA, which reached the finals in 6 different nominations. This quirky experimental game from a small team from Germany allows the player to create melodies from landscapes, buildings, unusual cars, and trinket toys, weaving them together into a musical piece.

Such games as Nomori, Yes, Your Grace: Snowfall (a sequel to the successful narrative game Yes, Your Grace), The Darkest Files, and Henry Halfhead were shortlisted in 4 nominations.

Among the nominees are two games created in Ukraine – Menace from the Deep by Artem Bazdyrev and Hollow Home by Twigames. Both reached the finals in the Next Big Thing Award nomination (for projects in the early stages of development).

Now the jury (your author included) will have to analyze 10 games in each of the nominations in detail, give each game a score, and give their advice and comments to the developers. The winners in all nominations of Indie Cup Europe’24 will be announced on August 1, 2024.
