For CES 2024, which took place earlier this month, ASUS has, among other things, prepared an update to its flagship ROG Strix SCAR line. Those who want to buy the most powerful gaming laptop in Ukraine already have the opportunity to do so.

This year’s ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2024) G834 will offer an 18-inch ROG Nebula HDR screen. This is an IPS matrix with Mini LED backlight technology, which has 2,000 dimming zones and a peak brightness of up to 1,100 cd/m². The matrix resolution is 2.5K, the aspect ratio is 16:10, and the refresh rate is up to 240 Hz. The display also promises 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.

The flagship configuration has an Intel Core i9-14900HX processor (24 cores, 32 threads) and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 discrete video (with a maximum power of up to 175 watts). Cooling is handled by the proprietary Tri-Fan system with Conductonaut Extreme thermal interface. The user can also equip the laptop with a maximum of 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 4 TB of PCIe Gen4 ×4 drives in RAID 0 mode.

The design of the new ROG Strix SCAR models follows the style of the previous models. However, there are some small additions. Buyers will have updated branded RGB backlighting, the usual interchangeable panels on the case, accents with ROG logos, and more.
