Instagram has introduced a new feature aimed at teenagers. At night, they will receive a reminder to close the app and go to bed, writes Engadget.

“Tips” will automatically appear in teen accounts and cannot be turned off. Reminders will be displayed if a user watches Reels or personal messages for more than 10 minutes.

“We want teens to leave Instagram feeling like the time they spend on the app is meaningful and intentional, and we know sleep is particularly important for young people,” Instagram explained.

Instagram already has several features that aim to reduce the time teens spend on the app. One of them is called “Take a Break” to encourage teens to take breaks while using Instagram.

The other is Quiet Mode, which mutes notifications and notifies others that the user is unavailable for a certain period of time.
