iStock, a subsidiary of Getty Images, has a new tool for creating stock images using generative AI. Getty collaborated with NVIDIA on this project.

The basis for the new generative AI is a similar feature in Getty Images, which the company also worked on together with NVIDIA.

The difference between Getty and iStock is that the former is used primarily for corporate use, while the latter is used by individual users.

The AI was developed on the basis of NVIDIA Picasso technology. The images created are commercially safe for use in print marketing, social media, or online advertising.

Images can be uploaded in medium or large size, and users will be granted the rights to use them. Also, these images will not appear in the service’s library without consent.

The company has also done everything to make creating new images simple and convenient. Users will be asked several clarifying questions to ensure that the result is as accurate as possible:

  • Who is the focus of the image?
  • What happens on stage?
  • Where does the action take place?
  • What is the mood or visual style?

The price will be $14.99 for 100 generations. When generating something, users will receive 4 separate images.
