American billionaire Elon Musk uses drugs, and this is causing concern among the heads of his companies, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Elon Musk runs six companies, including the aerospace company SpaceX, the automaker Tesla, the X platform, the brain implant startup Neuralink, The Boring Co, and the artificial intelligence company xAI.

In recent years, some executives and board members of Elon Musk’s companies and others close to him have become concerned that drug use may be a component of the billionaire’s behavior.

“Some executives and board members fear the billionaire’s use of drugs—including LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, mushrooms and ketamine—could harm his companies,” the newspaper writes.

According to the WSJ, Elon Musk used some drugs at private parties around the world. Attendees of such events sign non-disclosure agreements or hand over their phones at the entrance.

For example, in 2018, the businessman took several acid pills at a party in Los Angeles, the following year he used hallucinogenic mushrooms in Mexico, and in 2021, he took ketamine at a party in Miami.

Those close to Elon Musk claim that he continues to use drugs, especially ketamine. All of this could jeopardize SpaceX’s billions of dollars in government contracts.

The publication also draws attention to Tesla, whose code of conduct describes the company as a drug-free workplace and prohibits employees, including executives, from using drugs even outside the office.

At the same time, the billionaire’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, claims that Elon Musk regularly takes drug tests at SpaceX and has never failed them.

Last year, The Wall Street Journal reported that Elon Musk told people about using small doses of ketamine. Tesla’s CEO was also seen using the drug for fun.
