Qualcomm has introduced the new Snapdragon XR2 Plus Gen 2 chip, which is capable of rendering images of higher quality than Apple’s Vision Pro, reports The Verge.

The chip will be used for a mixed reality platform that Qualcomm is working on with Samsung and Google.

The Snapdragon XR2 Plus Gen 2 supports 4.3K resolution at 90 frames per second, has 12 simultaneous cameras and sensors for end-to-end video processing, and offers a 15% increase in GPU speed over the standard XR2 Gen 2 and a 20% increase in CPU speed.

This is currently the only known component of the future product from the three companies. Soon, Samsung will hold an Unpacked presentation, where they may tell more about the new device.
