A few days before the official announcement of the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER line, leaks with the expected recommended prices of future models began to appear on the web. Usually, this information is not disclosed until the official presentation, but it seems that this time the developers failed to keep the intrigue alive. However, we shouldn’t rule out that NVIDIA decided to “probe” the situation in advance, assessing the reaction of potential buyers.

GeForce RTX 40 SUPER price

One way or another, Moore’s Law Is Dead managed to get information from several sources regarding the prices of GeForce RTX 40 SUPER graphics cards. The information mostly coincides, so we can take it into account.

  • GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16 GB: $999 or $1199
  • GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16 GB: $799
  • GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB: $599
  • GeForce RTX 4070 12 GB: $549 (reduction by $50)

So, the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16 GB should get a price tag of $999, but the price of the older model is also mentioned as $1199. The latter is unlikely, given the following disclosed values. As for the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16 GB, all sources are unanimous – $799. This is a very encouraging value, considering that the base version of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12 GB had the same price tag at launch.

The upcoming GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB model, which features a GPU with a significantly increased number of processing units, is priced at $599. The GeForce RTX 4070 12 GB had an identical price tag at launch. The latter also remains on the list of current graphics adapters, but its recommended price is expected to decrease by $50 to $549.

As for the GeForce RTX 4080 and GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, after the release of SUPER-modifications, the most logical thing would be the end of their life cycle (EOL), as the first source indicates.

We would like to emphasize that these price tags are only preliminary information that should be treated with a healthy dose of skepticism. We hope to receive official information from NVIDIA in a few days during the presentation. If the preliminary data is confirmed, AMD will obviously also have to re-evaluate the Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB and Radeon RX 7900 XT 20GB.
