Earlier, Apple announced that the court banned the sale of Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 in the US due to a patent dispute, but now the ban has been temporarily suspended and the smartwatches are available again in the Apple Store and on the company’s official website.

According to The Verge, the court ruled to temporarily lift the ban after Apple asked to suspend it at least until the US Customs can determine whether the changes made to the Apple Watch will be enough to avoid a patent dispute.

US Customs is expected to make a decision by January 12. The court is now also considering extending the suspension of the ban pending further proceedings, which may take several additional weeks.

Initially, restrictions on the sale of smartwatches were imposed due to the violation of patent rights by Masimo, a company specializing in medical technologies, namely, the technology for measuring blood oxygen levels.
