Android smartphones may display a battery health indicator similar to the one on iOS. This was reported by Android Authority.

With the latest Pixel update, smartphones now have additional battery information that can be found on the About page, which includes information about the date of manufacture and the number of charging cycles.

However, the production date and cycles are not everything. Although information about battery health is not yet available, a page for the new feature was found in QPR2 Beta 2. We also shared screenshots of these pages.

It is expected that the updated page will show the percentage that the battery is working. For example, if the health of a 5000 mAh battery is estimated at 90%, it means that it is only charging at ~4500 mAh.

At the moment, all such information is still deeply hidden in the system and is not available even in beta versions of the operating system, so it is unclear when and if Google plans to introduce battery status for all users.
