Google is finally launching a tool that will help users of the Google Podcasts app migrate to YouTube Music or another alternative app, writes Engadget.

In the fall, Google announced that in 2024 it would shut down its podcasting app. This is planned to be done as part of a wider transition of listeners to YouTube Music.

At the time, it also became known that the company would offer users a migration tool and the ability to add RSS podcast feeds to their YouTube Music library.

The company is now implementing the plan. The tool will first be available to users in the United States. However, it will soon be launched for users in other countries.

The tool is expected to be available via a banner in the Google Podcasts app. The company claims that the transfer process will take only a few minutes.

Google Podcasts will be available for listening until March 2024. However, users will be able to transfer their podcasts until July next year.
