Amazon has announced the Trainium2 chip for training artificial intelligence systems. The development was announced by Adam Selipsky, CEO of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Computing Division, during the re:Invent event in Las Vegas, writes Reuters.

According to him, the performance of Trainium2 will be four times higher compared to the first generation of the chip. And its energy efficiency will double. Trainium2 should be available in 2024.

Amazon also announced the Graviton4 processor. AWS CEO noted that it will be 30% faster than its predecessor.

It is noteworthy that Amazon announced Trainium2 and Graviton4 shortly after Microsoft announced Maia and Cobalt chips.

It is also worth mentioning that during the event in Las Vegas, Amazon.com Inc. introduced a chatbot called Amazon Q. It is aimed at corporate clients and should help them search for information, write code, and view business metrics.
