Reddit Inc. is again in talks with potential investors about an initial public offering (IPO). This is reported by Bloomberg, citing informed sources.

According to them, Reddit is considering an IPO in the first quarter of next year.

As a reminder, at the end of 2021, the company submitted an application to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for an initial public offering. At that time, the timing of the IPO was unknown.

As you know, the platform was created in 2005. Reddit has been repeatedly criticized for insufficiently moderating user posts that contained hate speech.

This year, there was a scandal on the platform because of the new pricing system. It grew into a protest action that led to the replacement of some moderators.

As a result, Reddit again faced the problem of content quality. Some subreddits have begun to post dubious content that can literally threaten human health and safety.
