The Google Photos service for iOS and Android has a new feature that will help users clean up their library, writes The Verge.

The new feature will help you identify similar photos, screenshots, receipts, and documents in your library and suggest further actions. For example, Photo Stacks will group similar photos and show only the best ones in the gallery, which can be selected either by the system or by the user.

The system will also help you organize future events. If you have a photo or screenshot of a ticket to a concert or other event in your gallery, Photos will offer to add it to your calendar, where it will automatically pull in all the available information from the ticket.

Another useful innovation will be improved work with photos or screenshots of documents. A separate item for such files will appear in the search, and the service will sort documents by category, such as tickets, receipts, or photos of documents such as passports.

The feature should be available to all Google Photos users in the next few weeks.
