The release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage has only recently taken place, but more and more details about the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Red are already appearing on the web. Insider Gaming, referring to blogger j0nathan, shared some interesting details of the upcoming game.

The map in Red will be bigger than in Valhalla, but smaller than in Odyssey, so it’s still big enough. At the same time, there will be fewer different markers on the map to encourage players to explore the world on their own.

In addition, it is reported that Red will have better graphics than all previous games in the series.

They also shared a few game mechanics and world details:

  • The game will feature a grappling hook similar to the one in Sekiro and Ghost of Tsushima
  • Different stances for movement, so, for example, you can crawl in the game
  • Improved stealth, in which players will be able to create and use dark areas
  • Non-playable characters will defend themselves better
  • Certain enemies can be lured to your side to become spies
  • Naoi (the protagonist) will have kunai, shuriken, and smoke bombs in her arsenal and will be a faster and more stealthy character, while Yasuke will be more forceful

As for Yasuke, Insider Gaming reported that he is a character based on a real samurai of African descent, but his story was rewritten to better fit the game’s direction.

It is not yet known when Assassin’s Creed Red will be released, but it is expected to be released sometime in 2024.
