Nintendo expects to sell 15 million Switch consoles this year

Nintendo has improved its forecast for fiscal year 2024, which will end in March. This is stated in the financial report of the Japanese giant.

Nintendo expects its net sales to reach $10.5 billion for the year, up 9% from the previous forecast of $9.64 billion.

The operating profit forecast has been improved by 11.1% (from $2.99 billion to $3.3 billion) and net profit by 23.5% (from $2.26 billion to $2.79 billion).

In addition, Nintendo has improved its forecast for game sales. Now it plans to sell 185 million copies this fiscal year. The previous forecast envisaged the sale of 180 million copies of games.

Instead, the forecast for the number of Switch consoles sold remained unchanged – the company still expects to sell 15 million units.

By the way, in September, Nintendo announced a special version of the Switch OLED portable console in bright red. It’s called Switch OLED Mario Red Edition and it matches Mario’s style to the maximum.
