Nintendo has announced a special version of the Switch OLED portable console in bright red. It’s called Switch OLED Mario Red Edition and it matches the style of Mario to the maximum extent possible, reports Engadget.
This design is available for the console, dock, and Joy-Con controllers. The rear dock features a tiny silhouette of Mario. There are also several gold coins hidden under its back panel.
The special version of the console will be available at the official Nintendo store and on the Best Buy website. It is currently available for pre-order and will cost $350. Delivery is expected to start in October.
Earlier it was reported that Japan’s Nintendo plans to sell only 15 million Switch consoles in fiscal year 2024. To achieve its goals, the manufacturer will focus on selling second and even third consoles to people who already have one.
